Joanna focuses on creating value through positive social and environmental impact, and on making sustainable, healthy lifestyles attractive and accessible.
She leads the ‘impacts’ in our impacts and investment team, developing strategic impact frameworks and the articulation of our deep sustainability approach to align with the needs of investors, project stakeholders and policy makers. She is a key storyteller and spokesperson, designer and communicator of future customers’ lifestyles and a trustee of our charitable Foundation.
She was Founding Partner of creative sustainability advisory M&C Saatchi LIFE & previously Global Head of Sustainable & Healthy Living for IKEA, focusing on making sustainable & healthy living affordable, attractive & accessible for as many people as possible worldwide; before that she was Head of Sustainability for IKEA UK & Ireland, where she led the integration of all aspects of sustainability into core business & innovation.
She was a founder of the sustainability company Beyond Green, providing strategic advice to clients ranging from city leaders to the Olympics. She has also delivered a range of mainstream media projects focused on mainstreaming sustainable living – from TV lifestyles and current affairs programmes to books on green living and FMCG behaviour-change campaigns. She sits on P&G’s global sustainability advisory board and is a regular speaker and commentator on the sustainability transition.
